The counting chambers differ in the counting grids and in the depth of the chambers.

Perpendicular lines, engraved in the surface of the base of the chamber, form a grid that becomes visible under the microscope.

Approved for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) applications, according to IVD directive 98/79 / EC, with CE mark

On request, blood cell counters with “Bright Lines” grating are available which facilitate the evaluation of the sample thanks to the luminous lines that contrast well with the dark background.

The depth of the Thoma chamber is 0.1 mm.

The counting grid covers an area 1 x 1 mm² and is divided into square groups with sides of 0.22 mm (as in the Neubauer system).

The square groups are divided into 16 squares having an area of 0.05 mm x 0.05 mm = 0.0025 mm
