CELL-VU® sperm counting chamber, for counting spermatozoa in undiluted samples.

CELL - VU® is an easy-to-use device for manual cell counting; useful for seminal fluid analysis (for sperm counting and motility analysis), for blood cell counts, biological fluids such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and more.

CELL - VU® consists of a special specimen slide, of standard dimensions (3 x 1 ”) and a coverslip with a square grid, laser engraved on its surface.

The use of this disposable device eliminates the washing step for reuse and minimizes operator exposure to potentially infected biological fluids.

On each specimen slide there are two chambers (areas) in which it is possible to analyze two samples at the same time; the chambers are 20 μm deep. The depth of the chambers is optimal for the study of the seminal fluid that spreads on the slide forming a monolayer, in which the spermatozoa are free to move without friction, allowing easy analysis of motility and cell count.

The grid imprinted on the cover slide has the dimensions of 1 x 1 mm and is divided into 100 small squares each with dimensions of 0.1 x 0.1 mm.

INSTRUMENTATION REQUIRED: Microscope with 20X magnification.
