The HI99161 portable pH meter is supplied complete with the FC2023 pH electrode, with HI12963 PVDF body, with built-in temperature sensor for measurements with automatic temperature compensation.
The HI99161 is a portable pH meter that also allows you to measure temperature.
Suitable for food use, it has been specifically designed to measure the pH of food. The secret is in the electrode.
The FC2023 pH electrode has a PVDF body, robust, easy to clean and suitable for direct contact with food . The conical tip is ideal for measuring semi-solid products such as cheeses. FC2023 has an open junction which prevents typical occlusion problems when measuring viscous liquids such as milk or condiments.

Body in PVDF
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a type of plastic that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents. It has a high mechanical resistance, to abrasion, to ultraviolet and nuclear radiation.
PVDF is suitable for direct contact with food
Open junction
The open junction ensures quick readings (adequate flow between sample and reference).
It is easy to clean and prevents the formation of occlusions (typical of the ceramic joint).
Conical tip
The conical tip allows penetration into solid, semisolid and emulsion samples for direct measurement of pH in food products, including meat, cheese, yogurt and milk.
Built-in temperature sensor

  • The internal temperature sensor is positioned in the tip, close to the measuring electrode.

  • Automatic temperature compensation.

Probe Condition
The Sensor Check ™ system allows you to view the condition of the pH electrode: 5 marks indicate an electrode in excellent condition, while 1 flashing mark indicates the need to replace the electrode. The indicator activates after a 2-point calibration and can be disabled from the Setup menu.

Complete equipment
All instruments are supplied in a carrying case, complete with calibration solutions, cleaning solutions, beakers, batteries, instruction manual and quality certificates for the instrument and probe.


HI99161 is supplied with FC2023 pH / temperature probe, pH 4.01 standard solution in sachet (20 mL), pH 7.01 standard solution in sachet (20 mL), electrode cleaning solution in sachet (2 x 20 mL), batteries, instruction manual and hard case.

Large Display
The instruments are equipped with a multilevel display that simultaneously displays all parameters. For all pH meters it is possible to view the pH reading expressed in mV by pressing the HOLD button. This function can be very useful for technical personnel to evaluate electrode performance during calibration.
