Indicator tapes for autoclave sterilization

Single-sided tape formulated for steam sterilization.

The backing consists of a highly conformable semi-crepe impregnated paper backing and printed with an indicator ink. The adhesive is based on natural rubber, resistant to high temperature and humidity, guaranteeing high adhesiveness on papers, plastics, metals, sheets, etc.

Once processed, the tape can be easily removed, without any release of adhesive on the application surface.


To be used with single product packs (eg boxes, containers) to demonstrate that the pack has been subjected to the sterilization process and to be able to distinguish between sterilized and non-sterilized packs.


It is used in an autoclave and the indicator changes from light yellow to brown
(minimum conditions for modification: steam 10 min 121 ° C or 2 min 134 ° C).

  • Sterilization cycles: Saturated steam cycles from 121 ° C to 134 ° C


The product must be stored in normal warehouse conditions (30-70% RH - 15-30 ° C)

The tape must be protected and detached away from direct light and heat sources.

If properly stored, it can be used for up to 3 years from the date of manufacture

Compliant with EN ISO 11140-1: 2009 (TYPE 1 INDICATOR), European Directive 94/62, EEC 85/374.
