CRIOPLAST is a container for the transport of biological samples that need to be stored at low temperatures for a certain period of time.
It is normally used to transfer tubes containing whole blood.
It consists of PS As shells (shockproof polystyrene) and contains a particular eutectic liquid.
Specific tests have been conducted for its use in blood gas analysis, a test in which the blood must not exceed certain temperatures, under penalty of volatilization of the gases it contains.
The use of very low cooling temperatures allows the maintenance of the temperature of the samples to be examined for much longer periods of time, as well as the use of additional insulating containers (eg: expanded polystyrene boxes) considerably increases the performance of CRIOPLAST. .
