Code HI11310

Digital pH electrode with glass body for general use mod. HI11310

The HI11310 is a double junction, refillable, glass body pH electrode with built-in temperature sensor in a single probe. This probe connects to the instrument with a 3.5mm mini-jack connector compatible with instruments that use digital electrodes.
The HI11310 electrode has a built-in temperature sensor that stores the sensor type, serial number, and calibration information.
It also features a single ceramic porous septum and the ball tip is made of glass for high temperatures.
Ideal for general laboratory use.

Built-in microchip
The built-in microchip stores calibration data including date, time, offset and slope.
This information is automatically transferred to an edge® instrument when the electrode is connected.
The ability to transfer information allows you to change the probe without having to recalibrate.
All pH measurements are made by the electrode and transferred to the instrument. This overcomes any noise problems associated with the traditional high impedance analog measurement system. Electrical noise can be generated by a built-in temperature sensor and when working in a humid environment.

Spherical glass tip
The spherical tip allows a wide area of contact with the sample.
This results in faster electrode responses with a greater degree of stability.
The HI11310 uses the high temperature (HT) glass formulation.
A general purpose (GP) glass tipped pH electrode has a resistance of 100 megaohms at 25 ° C, while the resistance of high temperature glass (HT) is approximately 400 megaohms at 25 ° C.
By using the HI11310 pH electrode at elevated temperatures, the resistance decreases and approaches that of GP glass.
HI11310 is suitable for analysis of samples at temperatures between -5 and 100 ° C.

Double reference junction
In a double junction electrode, an internal cell surrounds the Ag / AgCl reference filament.
In the electrolyte solution of the inner cell there are silver ions, while the electrolyte outside this cell is free of silver. The double junction ensures that there is no silver loss in the sample under analysis. It also allows measurements to be made in applications where these ions are unwanted or where precipitates could form causing occlusions.

Glass body
The glass body, due to its chemical resistance, is ideal for a large variety of applications.
The glass electrode is compatible with many non-aqueous solvents and other harsh chemicals. It also has resistances to many forms of radiation, such as ultraviolet radiation.

Built-in temperature sensor
HI11310 is equipped with an internal temperature sensor, positioned in the tip of the measuring electrode.
A temperature sensor provides a very accurate temperature measurement and must be as close as possible to the measuring electrode to compensate for the effect the temperature has on the membrane potential.
