Medical devices consisting of a swab (available in different materials and formats) and a test tube containing liquid transport medium.

These devices are suitable for the collection and transport of aerobic, anaerobic and annoying bacteria.

The viability of microorganisms is guaranteed for up to 48 hours at room temperature or refrigerated.
This particular range of Devices is based on a liquid transport medium, ready to use, suitable for bacterial cultures, rapid and multiple tests, Gram stains, automation and molecular tests.
The kit design is designed to make these tampons easy to use and reliable.

The applicators are equipped with a break-point thanks to which they can, following the taking of the biological sample, be inserted into the test tube and captured by a particular leak-proof screw cap.

They are produced in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), have the CE mark, certified as medical devices of class IIa sterile , non-pyrogenic, non-cytotoxic and, on request, certified according to the CLSI M40-A2 (Quality Control of Microbiological Transport standard) Systems, 2nd Edition).

The devices are packaged in single blisters in plastic peel-packs that preserve their sterility (SAL 10 -6 ).

Buffers with 2 mL of saline , used to dilute biological samples for clinical analysis.

The tubes are provided with a blue screw cap and pre-labeled for a correct identification of the sample.

Rod length 150 mm.

 

Materials :

Pad in special polyurethane sponge (foam), medical grade:

it allows an optimal collection of the clinical sample and the subsequent immediate release into the liquid medium.

The soft polyurethane foam tip is more comfortable for patients and has significant advantages for both conventional and molecular methods.

Plastic rod with "break-point".

Available in two variants:

standard : standard size swabs for buccal, nasal, pharyngeal, vaginal, inguinal, rectal, faecal, skin and wound samples;

thin : mini-sized swabs for pediatric, urethral, urogenital, ocular, nasal and nasopharyngeal collections.

Pads with polyester tip:

it allows an adequate collection of the sample and a subsequent suitable release into the liquid medium.

The plastic rod has a "break-point".
