The counting chambers differ in the counting grids and in the depth of the chambers.
Perpendicular lines, engraved in the surface of the base of the chamber, form a grid that becomes visible under the microscope.
Approved for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) applications, according to IVD directive 98/79 / EC, with CE mark
On request, blood cell counters with “Bright Lines” grating are available which facilitate the evaluation of the sample thanks to the luminous lines that contrast well with the dark background.
The depth of the Fuchs-Rosenthal chamber is 0.2 mm.
In total, the grid covers 16mm² and contains 16 1mm squares.
These squares are separated by triple lines 0.01mm apart.
All 16 squares are divided into 16 smaller ones with a side of 0.25 mm.
The total volume of the chamber is 3.2 μl.
This chamber is therefore used for the enumeration of cell suspensions, such as cerebrospinal fluid.
